i am trying to load windows XP an I think I have a hardware conflict of something cause I can get about 7/8 through the install an I get the blue screen of death. Saying windows must shut down to prevent any damage to ur computer blah blah. Physical ram dumped. Any guesses this is driving me nuts. If i need to get the code it throws lemme know an I will

Thanks

this is not exactly the same problem that i have with my armada 1750 but what has happened is i installed windows xp pro on my laptop and it made everything work ok except that the modem did not seem to work but as i was browsing through the computer it all of a sudden turned itself off or at least the xp turned itself off so i switched it back on and now it wont even start windows after repeated attempts at trying to restart my computer it is still in a state where i can turn the laptop on but it wont start windows all it does is show the copaq welcome page and then nothing the screen go blank with no colour but remains on so how do i get into start up so i can change the start up settings so i can reboot from floppy or cd rom i need help i think my computer is dead

Blue,

if you know how...
remove all un-neccessay equipment from your computer.. modem, nic card, sound card, etc..

then attempt to install Win XP..

It could very well be a piece of your hardware that is incompatible.
