I work at satellite facility from the main office, and have admin privileges on my computer. Is there a way to make it so that IT at the main office cannot see what web pages I am browsing?

I want to block them from seeing I'm on computing net blog and other er,... "un-named" sights as well ;-0

At work? The next thing you most likely will see is a Guard escorting you out of the building. Sorry.

Your employer can check every site that you look at including any p2p activity. IF you install any software on your works PC without authorization or attempt to circumvent any security procedures you will be out the door!!

At the end of the day getting fired for the reasons above is very sad & embarrassing!!!

NOW GET BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!! ;-)

Turn it off, wait a while, turn it back on again.

In light of of the above answers to my question, perhaps a more appropriate question for me to have asked is: .... "Can anyone recommend a good job board listing"? ;-)

Ah come'on! Perhaps there is something equivalent to "Peer Guardian" I can download? Something that shades the view of IT back at the home office? By the way, he is my buddy ;-)

Check with avast!, Ad-aware, and spybot, not much found.

Anyways, my speed problem was caused by uTorrent. I disabled DHT and uPnP, and now everything is fine.

My boot time is still slow tho...
