I'm looking opinions on the sopcast P2P TV Viewer available from www.sopcast.org. Is it safe to use? Will my hardware firewall (a 3Com router) prevent it from working? Thanks!

it is about as safe to use as any other p2p application, your hardware firewall can be configured if necessary (try www.portforward.com). Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'
