No Ctrl-Alt-Del is built into the BIOS. You would have to re-write the BIOS code to change it.

Actually you could change it. We do on some machines.

As stated above kind of depends on what you want to do. The normal three finger salute does refer to original PC bios and still stops 8 and 16 bit apps.

If you want to logon you can change it.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

I don't want to change the ALT-CTRL-DEL function, but I am quite interested in how this is achieved, any chance you could let me know.

Alt+Ctrl+Delete will bring up Windows Security.
Ctl+Shift+Escape will bring up Task Manager if that is what you are looking for.

(I realize that is not what you asked for so ignore this post if not applicable)

Alt+Ctrl+Delete will bring up Windows Security as long as XP is not configured to use Welcome Screen. Otherwise Ctrl+Alt+Del will bring up Task
Manager.

If you really want to reprogram CTRL+ALT+DEL, search for its inventor - David Bradley - for help. Ctrl+Alt+Del key combination was invented to be used as a deadly interrupt in the good old DOS days before Windows came along
