Solved Is Adobe Flash Player needed?

February 14, 2014 at 12:52:20
Specs: Windows XP, 2 GB Ram
I don;t have Adobe Flash on my Computer, but sometimes I will get a pop-up saying that Adobe Flash is needed to view something, so I usually just get off and do not click to install it. should I get it or not? I do not play games or things like that. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Many sites use flash to display video, advertisements, and other such info through the browser. If you're not interested in games or video, then you likely don't really need it. It's especially annoying if you're have a slow connection (i.e.-dial-up or low-end DSL) and you arrive at a page that automatically wants to start a video as soon as you arrive at it.

Yeah, you definitely don't need it, but even if you don't play many games it's still nice to have. You might need it someday, and it really isn't a very large program.

Just as an example, YouTube won't work without it.
