Trying to load Win XP...Get blue screen error message "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL"...I've heard this has something to do with NVIDIA Graphics cards...
System is:
AMD Duron 1200
GeForce 2MX 400
Shuttle Spaceboard M/board
256Ram
Help please!
...Vege...

go to the previous page and type in "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" into the search engine. Go through the results.

There's good news and bad news... the good ones first? OK
The good news: U can solve the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ERROR!!!!
The bad news: For now, it can only be solved by decreasing your processor clock... =(
In my case, i just went to my bios, changed my processor clock from 133/133 33 mhz to Default, and, problem solved.
That means, i decreased my speed from 1.4c GHZ to 1.050 GHZ ¬¬
I hope in the future we can get peek performance without doing this sacrifice; i'm still waiting for a reply from Microsoft.

Hello again, i upgraded my SiS 7018 sound driver and problem dissapeared! ^^
Tnx to all the sugestions!

P.D. To all the Win XP installers; looks like there's no other way to install XP but decreasing CPU clock... =(

I have a very simmilar system to Vege it is a:
AMD 1300Mhz Duron Processor
6Gb Hard Disk
Maxtor 20Gb Hard Disk
128mb Ram
Nvidia GeForce 64mb mx 400 graphics card
gigabyte motherboard which claims on the box to be XP compliant. My problem is with the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error- i get this because I am trying to install XP to my new hard disk and then be able to format and get rid of my other, smaller one.
I think from what Silent said decreasing my processor clock would work but i dont know how to do this! can you please help??
any comments much apprieciated,
Mattio
