Okay, long ago I bought a linksys wmp11 wireless b pci card for a comp downstairs (away from the router) because running wires wasn't an option. I had problems with it before (numerous ones and I can't remember them all) so I called linksys and they said "you got the receipt?" I said "no, I thought linksys was supposed to be high quality, so I threw it out". They said, "one shot rma, we'll send you a good one."
A month later I recieve my shiny new wmp11v27 card, throw it in and all is "okay". Works a while, then I start getting random reboots. I decide its time to upgrade, get new mobo, new ram, new psu, install it all and throw on a fresh copy of XP. Get the net up and running, got to download latest ATI drivers and--BAM! BSOD. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, implicates wmp11v27.sys as culprit. I upgrade to latest driver only to find out I had it all along. I'm using XP's zero wireless config utility. What the heck?
I hop on the 'ole computing.net forums, find numerous references to IRQ conflicts. Move to another pci slot they say. Okay. Done. Still BSOD anytime I try to use the wireless connection. Is it really the wireless card? I disable the thing, machine runs like a dream. Re-enable...surf net a bit...BSOD (with 10 minutes or so while using wireless).
Anyone have any ideas. I searched the forums here and tried every reccomendation I saw, but I'm hoping for something new...
I contacted linksys, they say they can't do crap. Same old crap about latest drivers, checking IRQs, making sure all updates are applied, etc. Problem is, I can't apply updates if the damned thing won't work for more than ten minutes!
My entire experience with this has effectively convinced me that linksys is complete garbage.

Try the older driver from here and see if it helps.

My sig is on sabbatical.

Hi Cius,
I see Howard Hopkinso at www.techspot.com resolved several blue screen relating to wireless LAN card driver. You can send a private message to him to ask for help

Thank you both for your recommendations. I'll try each of them and see where I can get with the problem. Whatever happens, I'll come back to give an update about the status of the problem.

Apparently solved.
This fix was way easier than I expected it to be. When I had trouble with my first wireless card, part of the problem was the linksys drivers. I was told to use the Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration service. When I RMA'd the card, I naturally continued my use of the WZC service. However, this is apparently what was causing me trouble. I disabled the service and installed linksys' most recent driver and now everything apparently works. Just goes to show there's a reason you try the obvious stuff first. :-/
If anyone else is having trouble though, try this solution.
