thanks a great deal if you can help.

Xp does share alot of the irqs and that does cause problems. Your network card u could put in a diffrent pci slot and it should come up as a diffrent IRQ. If its in an even slot put it in an odd slot or visa versa so for example your netowrk card is in slot 2 put it in slot 3. One other thing i would do is go back into your device manager and uninstall your pci-usb card. I dont know why it shows up twice in there but just in case uninstall both and then do a hardware scan and XP will find it and reinstall the drivers automatically. I just noticed that your pci-usb card is on the same irq as your network card. That is not good. I just figured mine out like 2 weeks ago. I had a pci-usb card and a network card on the same IRQ and I kept getting lockups like crazy. Switched around the usb and network card and finally got the network card away from the pci-usb card. Only took 20 mins and now i have no lockups. That is basically what your gonna have to do. Its not hard. I did ask if there was a way to switch the irq manually but u have to do something before u install xp or while your installing or something like that. But anyway switch your pci cards around and try to get the network card away from the pci-usb. Good luck

You can also disable one or both serial (com 1 and 2) ports (when you don't use them).
Disable them in your bios, an xp have 2 more IRQ's to give away.Greetz

SUPERB, thank you guys i will try all these solutions and hopefully it will work, thanks a great deal,
hang ten
