ipod not detected

my ipod is not detected on my laptop or my computer the range light does not show. i have recently downloaded itunes and whn i plugged the ipod in the first time it seemed ot have worked but then it just didnt. any help?

Empty all ipod power then charged and plugin it might work. Some iod require power cycle.

Use all charges I mean no power on the ipod battery..
