ipconfig renew operation failed

Comment:

"ipconfig /renew" produces the message, "The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation." please advice me on what to do.

Were you able to obtain an IP address before this started? If so, what changed? Have you released your IP? Might be a network card problem, modem problem, other problem. A little more info would be very helpful. :)

Try a "repair". It does a number of repairs that you can do from command line. Does it work?
