Ok I have an IP security issue I need help with.
Ive had a couple attacks on my computer by some script kiddies, they didn't do any damage. I really don't like people poking in my computer so I am deciding to spoof my IP. I need a program to spoof my IP so the script kiddies may lay off(thinking that I got an IP from a big company or something). Also I do not like my IP being logged by websites, my IP is my deal and no admins need to see it. Does anyone know where I can get a program to spoof my IP. That would really help me a lot. THX!!!

just use a firewall. Ban thier subnet. Spoofing is considered an act of terroism now..

Admins may not need to see you IP address, but every web site you visit needs to see it as it needs to know where to send the information back to.
The best protection against scipt kiddies is a firewall and decent anti virus software.

I'd prefer Sygate Personal Firewall (freeware). It does what other firewalls do but it's more versatile (In my opinion. ZoneAlarm was so terrible). Also, make sure you disallow internet access to Generic Host Process (or whatever it's fully named). GHP is Microsoft's spyware, use the firewall to block it, not terminate it-otherwise your internet wouldn't work.
If this works right, you can disable ingoing access into your computer by those "script kiddies." Hope that supplements you.
