Running XP Home edition -- have Road Runner cable modem attached -- No other devices & no 3rd party software. After running Windows update and restarting the ip settings change and to get the correct ones back have to disconnect and reconnect the cable modem. Only happens after running windows update. Can start and restart normally otherwise and the settings remain correct. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!
