Invisible files

OS: XP Home and Pro
CPU/Ram: 1.1 GHz

There are files in one of the partitions on my system; I copied/created them whilst in XP Home. The partition would be empty without these files (they r the only files in the partition).

The issue here is:
Once I boot into XP Pro, I cannot see these files, there are no files in the partition -it is empty and theres no "used" space on the partition.

Ive tried chkdsk'ing it to avail.

Someone, plz help!
