Computer is Asustec P5A-B (AMD K6 II 450MHz).
2 Hards. On first is Win Me. Now I wanto to put XP Pro to the second hard and when I try to install "product code invalid". Interesting thing because CD works on the other computer but with different HW configuration.Mabe someone knows anuthing?

What exactly is this CD? Windows XP Pro CD? OEM Windows XP Pro? Recovery CD? By the way, each Windows XP CD is designed to work on one machine only.

If you have it activated on another system, that is probably the problem. Windows XP does this product activation thing and it will prevent you from loading it on a second system. In actuality if you read the license agreement on all versions of Windows, they only license you to install it on one system. With Windows XP they finally decided to put in something to force that.

If your trying to dual boot ME / XP , suggest you boot from the XP CD , then install to the 2nd physical disk or any partition other than c: ,where ME should still be listed as installed to.

More Info on installing Xp on more than one computer. The Xp CD has no way of knowing how many times it has been used. it can be installed until the Cd wears out and it will work for 30 days until M$ says to activate it, at that time you will find out it can no longer be used.

Well... :)))
For some guys:
cd ROM (ROM = READ *ONLY* memory) - means that if something installed from this kind of media THERE IS NO WAY to computer (device) or sw works on way that something like FLAGS will be marked to CDROM during installation. Especially if device hasn't WRITE option. If someone knows the system, please, I'll be very happy to find the way.Computer where XP Pro works is about 500km away from this one where the same CD do not work. Oh yes, there is no any kind of network.
And one thing more - I found the copy of XP Pro which works.
So, I think that there are very, very interesting things how come that one XP Pro (do not)/works on specified HW??? Microsoft?
