Invalid Electronic Serial Number screen

When I turn on my computer I get a screen that says I have an Invalid Electronic Serial Number. At the bottom of the screen, it says that I can hit F1 to continue. What dose that mean, and how can I fix it, (or just have a way to hide the screen so that it never comes up).
