Comment: Help!!! have just got this top of the art os Windows XP proffesional Chip= AMD athlon XP +1800 Ram = 512!!! Graphics Card = Nvida g force 4 180 ram DVD rom CD-RW Everything And i get a invalid boot.ini error. My comp will still boot. But from windows. I would really like it if this message would disapear coz it takes up starting time.

Reply: Check the boot file. My Computer(right-clk)-> Advanced(tab)-> Startup and Recovery(settings button). Press edit, it should look something like: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect If that's not significantly erroneous there may be a detection problem. You may consider using "bootcfg" using the recovery console to rebuild the boot record and its associations.
