I have 2 new computers, athlon 2400's with win xp pro on them. For some reason they periodically loose the internet and email capabilities. After a new clean install of windows everything worked good. Email and internet. After installing programs email does not work. I am using outlook express. The programs that i installed were, 3dmark, alcohol 120, cdrwin, clonecd, microsoft office, nero, partition magic, winiso, and macafee virus scan updated version with out firewall. I am running my computers off of a link sys router and switch. Router software is installed. Outlook gives me this message when trying to receive email. The host 'shawmail' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'My Name', Server: 'shawmail', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D The internet works fine so i know there are no connection problems. This problem is happening on both computers. I have not changed the router settings since i first intalled windows and the internet and email both worked so this makes me think it is not the router. The network does not work either. When i go to connect onto another computer i get a message like this. \\computer2 i not accesible. You might not have permission to use the network resource. Contact administrator. Login failure: user account restriction possible reason blank password not allowed, login hours, or restrictions are in effect. I dont know what i need to do to fix this problem. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

either your not entering the right settings in the outlook express accounts, or the isp entered the user/password wrong into their server. if those settings have worked before , then i'm wriong about their server. look in you accounts, connections.
