Hello, I just reformatted my desktop. Everything was perfect before I did it, but now there is a problem. My internet connects and maybe for about five seconds I can use the net, but after that, although it says it is connected, I cant use anything to do with it like IE, Mozilla or MSN. IE says "page cannot be displayed", Mozilla just leaves a blank page and MSN states that I am not hooked up to the net. The funny thing is though, all my laptops on my wireless network can use the internet for as long as they like perfectly fine. And now when I try to access the host computers shared folders from a laptop, it tells me that access is denied. I am running the exact same programs as were running before I reformatted, so I cant see the problem. I have also checked all the phone lines and cords, etc. Please suggest anything, as I really dont want to reformat again.

Cheers,
Luke Beaumont

You might want to try LSP-fix to correct the connectivity problem.

Did you install SP2?you need to get those installed for the protection. It seems that you have already picked up something after the format and reinstall. download these and update them and run them one right after the other to get your system clean.

I tried them and no luck. I reformatted and I think I narrowed it down to two programs, azereus and peerguardian2.
