I'm using a Gnet router which most of you guys wouldn't know much about. But since I installed the new firmware, my internet has been unstable. It stops responding every once a while like 20-30 minutes. It never happened before when i had the old firmware. Is there a way that I can fix it, please

The older firmware came with the router, so I don't think it's available for download. THe reset function on the router didn't get rid of the new firmware. So. please help. really bothering me. i have to reset sometimes every 10 minutes.

I'm pretty sure it's my router problem because I have 3 computers networked together. and once the internet stops responding, the other 2 computers do not work too. so the problem is with the router

Also, test it out..

Unplug all the computer except yours. See if the connection drops..

I have see a few cheap routers that will flod when too many packets are sent to it.

it doesn't work, it says invalid upgrade file. Do you know any other way of removing the old firmware?

I was using a ADSL service before and it was working great and then I switched to Cable service recently and the internet is working without changing any settings. Maybe do you think i need to change any settings?? I did not change any settings when I switch from ADSL to cable

It wouldn't hurt to see if any old firmware is available. I have a D-link router that they no longer support, yet they did have all the versions of firmware ever available on thier site. Worth a try.

You want to do a FACTORY RESET, if possible.
Most times this is accomplished by pressing and holding the reset button while powering on the device.
