On my computer, connected to internet with network, the internet will start working and a few minutes later stop working. Then the main computer stops working too. Is there any reason known for this, otherwise, how do you reinstall a home network? Sorry if this is brief, the internet could stop any time now...

What type of Interent - Dial up Cable or DSL.

Has the network ever worked?
What happened to make it quit?

Are all the units on the network running the same type of XP or are some units running different software as Operating Systems?

That being said; there is a link to setup a home/office network under the "My Network Places"

I it does okay without the modem connected.
