Hello. Iv been having some problems with my computer lately. sometimes my internet stops working. Its not just IE, but MSN also. The weird thing is that my other programs work on the internet, like Yahoo and Steam (for those of u who know Counter-strike). So im worried it might be a virus. When i start my computer, the net works fine, but after a few mins it stops working. My av's havent been able to detect anything, so i was wondering if any of you guyz know the exact name of a virus that behaves like this, so that i could download a removal tool or something. any help will be much appreciated. Thanx

SS

Sounds like it could be IE hijacker spyware.

try running Spybot Search and Destroy and or adaware.

you can download these both for free.

good luck!

best of luck Frank :

LoL. i didnt scan the whole system with Ad aware. So i did, and it detected 2 objects:

1stbar and startpage. my internet is working fine.

The online scans were too slow, since you could not select which folders you wanted to scan.
Thanks!
