Hi to all, When I perform a few hibernations and resume, then I can no longer access the internet (whatever the browser), although my ADSL connexion looks perfectly up and running (messages like : cannot find server). Any ideas most welcome. Thanks, Claude

Claude B, SWAG only, seems to me hibernation involves withdrawing much like turning off. Perhaps your modem was hung up? If that's the deal, my guess is that you simply need to reconnect. HTH. Ed in Texas.

I agree with Ed in Texas. M$ remedy is to reboot the PC.

Try this method. Start >> control panel >> network connections >> right click local area connection >> select properties >> select configure >> go to the power management tab >> uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

I applied the tip suggested by yellowbelt. should it not work, I'll try to unplug the modem as suggested by Ed in Texas.
