Every time I go onto the internet I get the following error message.
Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occured in the script on this page

Char 1
Error Oblect Expected
Code 0
URL file://C:\\Windows\system32\b.html
Do you want to continue to run scripts on this page?
Anybody got any ideas on how I can fix this.Please keep the instructions simple not over computer literate.

goto tools, internet options and change your homepage. at the moment it looks like it set to a file on your hard disk. change it to google.co.uk, computing.net or whatever.

also run a spyware and virus check as that file does look suspicious.

hello,

first check to ensure that C:\\Windows\system32\b.html is not your home page address. right click the Internet icon --> Properties(Internet Properties)--> homepage. look for the address textbox and set it to www.mysite.com or something. you can also delete that file.

IE Options - Advanced Tab - 'Display Notification about every Script Error' -Uncheck it

Thanks for the replies.
My homepage was set to yahoo.
I have run Norton system works and it finds nothing.
I have done a search for the file name and my computer cannot find it.
What next?
