Hi,
Please help. When I click on my Internet Explorer
Icon i get this message........"Windows cannot find C:\program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"......I have tried to re-install Internet explorer from the microsoft website (using Safari,
which is not a great web browser). I just keep getting
this message. Please help. I am not that great with
computers so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try this instead.
start > control panel > add/remove programs and click the box to add/remove windows components. Put a checkmark in the box in front of the IE application!

Thank you for your reply,
I did what you said to do and it was already checked off. I just
can't get it to recognize IE. Does it matter that it said it was
0.0 mb? Thank you again and any other help would be
appreciated. :)

Billi, Have you tried a System Restore to the closest date just prior to when this problem started?
Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Yes I have tried a system restore a couple times but I keep
getting told it can not be restored. Thanks for the suggestion.
I really appreciate everyone trying to help. Keep the
suggestions coming. Thanks.

internet explorer can be repaired by using the system file checker. Go to start then run and type in sfc /scannow. Note the space between the c and the /. This will take awhile to run.

Your suggestion is not a solution. IE is needed to update Windows and other MSoft products.

Is the file iexplore.exe present on the machine? Try searching for it (which is the first thing you should have tried).
If it is there then double click it and see if it works - maybe only the shortcut is corrupted.
