Have you tried a System Restore?

What exactly did you update, Internet Explorer or did you install yahoo toolbar for Internet Explorer? When you say yahoo mail and messenger aren't working, could you be more specific? Do you receive any error messages?

All you really need is yahoo messenager man no other. I feel have a yahoo tool bar and that mail box on your desktop is a waste of HD space.

If you've updated to Interent explorer 7.0, I'm gussing you might have. To me they are not capable of working. I ran into this problem many times! explorer 7 works better without a custom tool bar from yahoo or even google.

Try a system restore before you installed the programs and see if this helps.

You can install Internet explorer off of this site http://www.windowsmarketplace.com don't even use yahoo unless you can truly trust it.
