Anytime I go to a website that requires a login such as my email accounts, school messaging board, messenger, etc. I am not able to sign in and the white error page comes up - the one that usually comes up when your internet is down and the server can not be found.

I've tried everything from resetting my explorer options to downloading another browser (which won't open any site at all for that matter)to running every kind of virus and spyware scan.

Nothing works and I'm just wonderin if anyone could help me in this matter please!

Thanks
-Magda

Someone recently had problem here with Login at
Computing.net.
She finally found that her ZoneAlarm was set for Stealth. Maybe you have ZoneAlarm ??

Watch for help from others.

FYI--
OS: ?
CPU/Ram: ?
System Manufacturer: ?

OS--is Operating System (Win XP Home or XP Pro)

CPU/RAM--
CPU--is the type of Processor in your computer
and its speed.
RAM--is how much RAM memory you have.
For me I would put P4,1.5/512 MB

Right click My Computer,
then Properties.
All the above information can be found on the
General tab.

System Manufacturer--is who made your computer.

I don't have ZoneAlarm but I do have the Norton Personal Fire Wall which I can not even check the securites for because it will not open from the start menu. So I thought I could remove the program entirely which was also a no go since I need to log into it first because of the security preference.

So I'm stuck again!

Thank you as well for the computer information! :)

Description of a Personal Firewall
See Possible Issues
1.You may receive "Page cannot be displayed" error messages in Microsoft Internet Explorer
2.You may not be able to share files and printers, or you may not be able to connect to other computers on your local area network (LAN).
3.You may not be able to play some multiplayer or Internet games.

Possible that Norton may be your problem.
Maybe you can remove Norton via Windows Safe-Mode:
