I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 to try it and now I want to revert back Internet Explorer 6, I made a huge mistake uninstalling Internet Explorer and now my OS seems very crippled. When I try to reinstall Internet Explorer 6, a message comes up saying
"Setup has detected a newer version of Internet Explorer already installed on this system. Setup cannot continue." I followed Microsoft's resolution but I have a bit of a dilemma after the Internet Explorer uninstall. I can no longer use regedit as it says this whenever I try to run it:
"Windows cannot find 'regedit'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."p4-3.0E ghz/800 mhz FSB 1M w/ HT

Just curious, but have you tried to do a system restore to a previous time?

Download IE7 Beta 3 for now. How did you uninstall IE6?
If you need to uninstall IE7 Beta 2, Goto C:/Windows. Then Look for $uninstall file that IE7 came with.

I have tried system restore but that did not solve anythng.
I did not uninstall ie6, I just installed the ie7 over it I guess then uninstalled the beta. Now, whenever I try to click on "Internet Explorer", it says "choose the program you want to use to open this file". Just on a side note, Windows Media Player, Outlook Express, MS Paint and the Calculator don't work either. For example, when I try to open Windows Media Player, it says "Windows is searching for wmplayer.exe..."p4-3.0E ghz/800 mhz FSB 1M w/ HT
