http://files/Internet%20Explorer/IE When I open IE this is what is in the address bar. I do have a homepage set so when I click the house icon then it goes there to my set homepage. My internet works fine, it's just that it instead of going to my homepage it displays this instead. It also say something about IE exe when the page is trying to load. Any help would be great or ask me any questions if you need to .
Thank YOu

Maybe your homepage has been hijacked try running ad Aware on your system to resolve the problem, also make sure your home page address is what you want it to be in internet options under the tools menu. Which obvioulsly u've already done.

Yea, that was the first thing I did was run my Adware and Hijack program. My hompage address is correct as well. No other problems on the internet except for that.

Ok, seems pretty strange, there is one thing if you have firewall there maybe a setting in there that controls/overrides the actual page that comes up on IE, have you had a look at that as a possibility (if you have firewall that is)
Also check any recently installed software just to make sure there isnt any overiding programs, I have a spyware program called Xoft which has an option on there that overides my actual internet explorer home page, maybe you have this program and havent realised the homepage settings, not sure if Ad Aware is the same cos I havent used it for a while.

Excellent ideas! I tried those and they helped, but it still is happening. I posted on the MS XP site, but there are more people posting here, so thanks for all the help. I'll keep trying.

Ok sorry I could be of more assistance, hope you figure it out soon.
