internet explorer download freezes

Hey can anyone tell me why my internet explorer downloads always just stop for no reason. I never get an error message the download just starts and then doesn't move anymore. Is there an update i need for internet explorer? I'm using a shaw cable connection and have even tried to use different network cards. It happens on almost half of the sites i download from. Thanks.

All I can suggest is when the download stops, close the download and go back to the site and try downloading again and it should start the download with the same percent you had when it stops. Keep us posted if it worked.

If you are using Internet Explorer, then try using MSN Explorer or the other way round. Just a suggestion.

I had a simaller problem the download would get to like 20% and then just freeze. It was a problem with Sygate Personal Firewall. I have to exit it befor starting the download.

Down load a third party download agent. I use Getright. It works fine.
