I am having some computers that do not open Internet Explorer, which I need for some apps we use.
Firefox works fine.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Internet Explorer 6 and 7 but this did not fix.
I have installed XP SP3.
I have scanned with Sophos anti-virus.
The reasons IE doesn't open are not necessarily the same on each of the computers - we can only therefore generalize. Two other options spring to mind:
1. Registering IE dll's (you will find plenty of information in this using Google).
2. Using IE Repair. This will lose some settings but these can be put back and addons will get restored with usage.Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
