i have just bought new pc and it bugging me all ready what the problem is the tool bar at the top of internet explorer and outlook are purple and have the packard bell logo the purple is the packard bell new colour i have look in to all the setting i know and cant get it back to the standard grey please help

Did you try display settings in Control Panel? Appearance, etc.?

This may help. Changing Internet Explorer Title Bar (and Outlook Express too!) (These hints require changes to MS Registry system which can be a bit risky, and you should always back it up prior to making any changes. If you have any doubts about the changes you’re making in the Registry, don’t make them. Mistakes in your Registry can make your computer unbootable.) Some sites change your Internet Explorer title bar without your permission. Most people who have had AOL may find their IE title bar reading, “Microsoft Internet Explorer Provided by America Online” (or some other entity). To change the IE title bar to contain the title you want, click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK or press ENTER. When the Registry Editor window appears, collapse all the branches of the directory tree in the left pane (click any minus signs [-] that appear there) until only the main My/Computer branch is visible. Then, expand branches (clicking plus sins [+] until you work your way down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/INTERNET EXPLORER/MAIN. Look in the right pane; it should contain a number of items. Look for on called Window Title. Double-click this entry, and then delete the offending text in the Value Data field of the Edit String dialog box. Type in any name you want and click OK. Restart Windows, and the name you entered should appear in your IE title bar. try making sure the USE THEMES value is at 1 You may also change the title bar in your Outlook Express by running “regedit” in your “start/run” then navigating down to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/IDENTITIES//SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/OUTLOOK EXPRESS/5.0 The (class identifier) will look something like this: {261DD-15B-8C5D-4CC9-8258-FDA47FD33DF5}. Navigate to the plus sign (+) in front of each appropriate branch visible in Regedit until 5.0 shows up. Click that key to highlight and edit it. In the right pane, you should see a value named Window Title or Window Title. Double-click this value and change the text to whatever you wish. You can simply right-click this value and delete it, too, if you’d like. If you delete the value it’ll revert to the default, Outlook Express.

I think it may be a Packard Bell's customization and if it is you may have uninstall it from Add Remove prog or contact Packard for removal instructions.
