I was hoping somebody could help me out or give me some ideas how to trouble shoot this little problem.

IE 6.0 & Win XP Corp.

While browsing the internet, if I click on a link that opens a new windows in my browser it automaticly goes to minimize in my task bar. When I click on the icon in my task bar to view the page it shoots up to the My Computer icon on my desktop but while doing so it "disapears". The icon is still in my task bar but I have to right click it and select maximize to get it to come up to normal size. How do I stop this from happening?
I know it's probably something in my internet options but I just cant seem to figure it out.

I have restored IE to defaults and that didnt work.
I have right clicked the IE icon and made sure it was set to Maximize window. I have downloaded and installed all patches.

I took a screen shot of what I am talking about. Very hard to explain.

Any ideas?
It's a pain in the a$$!
Thx

I have almost the same problem, my "new windows" is blank and the webbsite doesn't show up. I'm using XP Pro and IE6 but i haven't installed any patches, where did you find those?
I'm also unable to uninstall IE6, because the uninstallfile isn't present.

have u tried to uninstall and reinstall IE6?
