Yesterday I installed MS updates and went for Internet Explorer 8. This was a huge mistake. I’ve been getting error messages and things I need to change are grayed out etc. I just want to go back to IE 7. Can I do that with System Restore?

That worked great and even retained the original IE7 settings - thanks
