everytime i click on internet explorer to go to the internet. its taking anywhere from 7 to 25 secs for internet explorer to actually go to the internet and retreve the page from the site i wont. firefox is not quite as slow but it is lagging. i have a 3m connection and its ok. i do have my os installed onto a seperate hd then my programs in case i ever have to replace the drive. i dont think that would do it because internet explorer is installed on the c drive with the os and firefox is installed onto the d drive where the programs are installed.
what do you think might be happening thats causing the lag from the time i click onto ie to the time it actually goes and gets the page

Do you leave your computer on all of the time ????

Computer Speed and Performance May Decrease

When you open, then close programs,
programs may not free up RAM memory.
That is called "Memory Leak".
Restarting computer will clear out its RAM memory.

Try clearing your browser cache. A good way to do that is to use CCleaner slim. Get it below.

Speaking about memory, how much memory do you have installed in this computer?
