A few months ago i downloaded and installed IE 7, and ever since i've been encountering a very annoying problem.
Whenever i close a folder screen (My Documents, My Computer, etc.) internet explorer starts up, and i have to turn it off each time, which gets quite annoying after a while, as i open and close folders alot.
I should add that my sister's account on this computer does not have a problem, and i checked and found that all the settings in my folder and internet options are the same as her's. is this a bug, and how do i fix it, or just some annoying option i overlooked?
PLEASE HELP, this is really annoying!

Why not think laterally, and start a new account for yourself on the PC, then delete the old one. You'll probably save time over trying to find the fault.

The best thing to do is run system file checker, it could be a corrupt file in explorer, I had it myself on a clients computer before. to do this go to start, then go to run, and type in sfc /scannow in the run box, make sure you have your copy of xp to hand, what this does is replaces any conflicting files and repairs, explorer.

If it still happens after this remove internet explorer from the start menu by clicking show updates at the top, and removing i.e 7 then try re-intalling.
