Internet Explorer 6 popup problems

Hi.I'm having some really annoying problems with Internet Explorer due to Popups.Each time I open a site wich has pop-up ads the internet explorer window hangs for some time then the pop-up is displayed and the website with it.It is *so* annoying.I'm on DSL and I have to wait 30(or more) secs for a page to open when there's a pop-up trying to open.I don't have any popup remover software installed.I *had* panicware popup stopper but I deinstalled it a long time ago.I don't know what to do.Can somebody please help me ? This is really getting very annoying.Thank you in advance

try the pop-up stopper from google. you'll need to download their google bar, but the software that comes with it is great...very well integrated into ie. if that doesn't help try reinstalling ie, or get thier sp1. good luck
