Something happened to my internet explorer recently and I cannot fix it. I originally had some spy wear I guess and it changed my homepage (under Internet Option). This was cleaver spy wear because it didnt let me change the home page back,,,the whole Homepage area was grayed out. I went into the registry and changed it thogh so no problem there. I cannot however go into Toolbars and change any settings. Its all grayed out nd I do not know how to get them back. Does anyone have any ideas?

get CWshredder and run fix it. make sure all your explorer windows are closed though. After that run Ad-aware and Spybot search and Destroy.

you may have to repair IE. Control panel-add/remove-select IE explorer-double blick on the remove, it will bring up a window to repair it.

kevingarit, Go to the link below and under the letter "T" scroll down to "Toolbar Repair" and download & run the "Toolbar Repair Utility".

Toolbar Repair

If that doesn't solve the problem go to the link below and scroll down to 192 on the right side "Restore the Toolbars From Being Greyed Out" and download & run the fix.

Restore the Toolbars From Being Greyed Out

Hope This Helps,
