Dear group:

I have just recently started having problems with Internet Exploder 6.0. Sometimes when I click on the "Back" arrow the program stops responding. Then eventually the window comes that lets you end it. And what really sucks is all the windows I have open close too.

What could be causing this? Like I said this has only been happening for a few weeks.

I have been told by several people not to even bother using Internet Exploder 7.0. All I hear is bad things about it.

I do have the Firefox browser set up with tor and Privoxy but my computer is so slow that it takes forever to get to any sites. So I usually just use Internet Exploder 6.0.

Does anyone have any idea why Internet Exploder 6.0 just stops?

Thanks for any help!

The simple answer is to get rid of Tor and Privoxy, and use Firefox instead of I.E., unless you are one of the chronically paranoid.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

Dear serjyonline:

When I click on the back button the browser window does nothing. And when I try to close the browser window I get the box that says "Not Responding".

What do you think?

Virus perhaps?

Thanks for any help!

Dear Sci-Guy:

I like to use Firefox with Tor Enabled when I go to certain sites. The I.P. addresses Google collects, when combined with other information, can sometimes identify an individual, or a household. When I.P. addresses of Internet actions are all recorded, anonymity is harder to preserve. And all the other search engines keep I.P. logs too.

I think this is invasion of privacy.
