I recently re-installed windows on my main PC. I noticed one night the he internet worked ONLY on the internet explorer windows i had opened about an hour before i noticed the problem. New explorer windows would display the Cannot Find Page thing. This is only happening on that PC. Not on the other ones with XP or 98. I Reinstalled the network setting, i disabled McAffe fire wall, and still, it doesnt work. I cannot even access the settings page for my router. Please help.. I really dont want to install windows AGAIN... that would make 3 times this week!

Sounds like a router problem Make sure you have it set to allow the number of pC's you have connected as well as have the computers set to the IP address range of the router. (assuming you have router and not ICSharing)in which case you should get a router. Try shutting down all computers, router and cable modem - then turn on modem - then router - then PC's. That didnt work, but thanks. Just for curiosity, im going to run a virus check, even though i have had McAffe installed, even the firewal... Then im going to replace the network car... i have a few lawing around... i just hope i dont have to do another format :-/
