Could anyone help me with this problem?

I got the damn msblast.exe and something else wierd called Cheese-burger.exe and I wasn't able to install Norton antivirus or a firewall.
When I tryed it said that windows installer was disabled. So I enabled it and tried again and it worked, BUT the liveupdate and registration didn't work, and my connection to the internet was dead.
Though I can still ping my broadband gateway and other sites.

The small errorpopup message I get when trying to connect is(translated from swedish): It wasn't possible to open the searchpage.

I really hope I don't have to re-install windows.

Thanks!

Make sure you don't have a virus lurking somewhere on your PC by going to one of the AV sites like Trned Micro and doing a house call. The next thing to try is a restore to a point in time when everthing was operating properly. If you have to re-install windows, it is not big deal. WinXP will find an existing copy of itself and install without bothering your data files. Most, if not all programs will work as before. For more info see sft-cyber.com.

Right click on hard drive do a search for msblaster.exe and Cheese-burger.exe delete them. You will have to find them on the task manager in the processes there is alot there that can be harmfull so only end task that you know are viruses, you need to end task them befor deleting them. This should defently work because i think msblaster has a way of geting around AV programes but this is your best bet at geting rid of it i had it and now i havent had any problems with being shut down.
