Hi, Hope someone can help. My internet explorer keeps closing when I use the back button or a search facility, this is not isolated to one website, I have virus scanned PC, run adaware and spybot and then rerun to make sure system is clean. Any help would be much appreciated. Steve

If you leave you computer idle for about 10 mins it will disconnect you. To solve this right click on "Internet Explorer" on your desktop and at the top click on "Connections" then "Settings" where it says "Password" click on "Advanced" and un tick "Disconnect If Idle for" and that should solve that problem.
Try WinSock XP Fix on the system. sometimes on msn can try diff ISP
Have u tried a diff tel point or microfilter ?? bad physical connection firewall settings WIN XP
1. Click on Start -> Control Panel 2. If you're using the Category view, click 'Network and Internet Connections', then click 'Network Connections'. If you're using the Classic view, click 'Network Connections' 3. Double click on your VCN connection 4. Click on the 'Options' tab 5. Change the "Idle time before hanging up" to a suitable time or select never so the computer never disconnects 6. Click OK and close the Control Panel.
