Iya guy's
When i open up internet explorer my internet crashes. I have ran Ad-Aware SE, CWShredder and done a system restore and still no luck... any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Just to say that
Using System Restore too many times can cause
more harm than good. After doing a restore
that does not fix a problem, then UNDO the
Restoration. How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP

I hate to say this, but since Internet Explorer can't be re-installed separately, you may have to completely re-install Windows. But DON'T do that unless you REALLY have to do it ( keep at as an absolute last resort because you will lose everything on your computer ). I'm basically saying that that's the only way I've ever been able to fix that problem.
What version of Windows do you have?

Hiya.. i have windows XP SP1..
I have just ran Ad-Aware SE and S&D in safe mode and all seems good so far :)

I hate to also say this Response Number 2 but you are wrong...
Re-Install Of IE 6.0
Insert the Win XP CD
Open Start / Run and type:
rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 c:\windows\inf\ie.inf
Press ENTER

Wombat,
Does this completely uninstall and reinstall IE or overwrite the old install? Will you need to rerun any updates again? Have you personally ever done this? The reason why I ask is I want to save this tip incase I need it later. Thanks

domass, I have never used it myself. I found it on another forum where someone else was after a similar fix. So I put in the tip file.
I also think that if you have sp2 installed, you'll want to have a slipstreamed Win XP sp2 disk to use this.Ignis vulpes impero
