I am experiencing a weird issue on my Dell Laptop (fresh install) where for example I would be streaming a video for 5 minutes, and it stops streaming completely. Also, I would be chatting on MSN chat and the connection drops after 5-10 minutes. I can surf the web and e-mail no problem though. Any suggestions?
Is it a wired or wireless connection? Is it a dialup/ DSL/Cable? Are you sharing this connection with other users? Are you operating on Battery or mains power?
Are you running any other apps while doing your downloading? What kind of firewall/ Internet security/ antivirus suite are you running? Have you checked your eventlog to see if anything is recorded there to indicate why your connection seems to be terminating?Goin' Fishin' (Some day)
