Internet Connection/SP2

after downloading sp2 off of the net my comp keeps connecting slow , it seems to connect around 30kbps when before it would connect at 50 something kbps , ive tryed unistalling SP2 and loading it on from the disk and i still have the same problem , i only have a 56k modem , its a Conextant Soft V90 Data Fax Modem . should i just keep SP2 uninstalled or just leave it on and take the loss ?

If it runs better without SP2 and you have no problems uninstall it and wait for the fixes that are sure to come.

Uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers for your modem, and make sure you are not using XP's native drivers for your modem.

i tried rolling the driver back but that didnt help either , ive been looking for the drivers that werent XP's but i havent found them yet , dont really know the best place to look
