Hi everyone! Miss me? LOL It's been a while, I know *blush*
I've spent about 5 months trying to figure this one out, but I just can't do it.
My hubby bought me a new puter [which I HATE!!!] and I wanted to switch back over to our old Dell.
Problem is, the ENTIRE internet connections folder is gone and I can't figure out how to get it back. I have Googled and Googled, but, of course, no one else's problem is the same as mine.
The folder was there and the internet was working just fine when I was using the puter. Once I'd switched everything over, it just sat unused.
Calling Dell was a waste of time, they don't have a clue as to what's going on or what happened.
Hubby thought it may have something to do with the modem card in the puter, I'm totally 'assuming' he tried the 'take out the card while puter is off, boot up puter, shut down, put card back in, boot up puter and hope it finds new hardware'.
Oh, and I don't have the puter set up to hide any folders or files.
Any thoughts?
TIA :)

Hi,
I am not sure but in add and remove programs / windows components I think you will find it to install.Bob

In addition to my above reply, you could check in services to see if it is running
control panel / administrative tools / services / scroll down to network connections make sure it is running.Bob

You could try Tweakui, when installed, in the left hand column is Control Panel, make sure everything is ticked.
Download TweakUi complete with install instructions

Another way.
Click Start and then click Run.
In the Open box, copy & paste > sfc /scannow, and then click OK. Note that you may be prompted to insert the Windows XP installation CD-ROM.
