This has to be the weirdest problem I have encountered.
First, assume I have 2 wireless connections - A and B.
I can connect to A and everything works fine.
I can connect to B and use google talk, and remote desktop connection, but i can't use either internet explorer or mozilla to surf the net.
Both connections show that they have excellent connectivity. Please can someone help? Thanks in advance.

i have exactly the same problem.
iam on tesco dial up, nad its weird cause the thing reckons it is connected and when i pick up the phone, it is the normal sounds, but when i go to use anything that connects to the internet it does not work-thats across the board- browsers ie mozilla, ie, messengers-yahoo, msn, remote assesence, internet games, you name it.
i agree ed, it sounds like a firewall. i thought this and checked both of mine. they are both normal. next i thought that it could be a virus or adware or some other s---. so i did scans for all these-nothing...
i decided to see what was wrong with it so it looks like other user (one of my faimly) has reinstalled the dialer, and apart from being a little slower than usual, its working fine... but i belive iam probably on borrowed time...
any suggestions guys??
many thanx, Goz
