Hi I have a small but annoying problem regarding an Intel NIC and a Belkin Router. I am connected to the internet using BT Broadband through ethernet cables to both a PC and Laptop. My internet connection is fine, but if it is left idle for about 15+ mins I lose my connection and have to go through the router software to connect. The power management is disabled and i have also set my NIC not to disconnect. I use Napster for my music and that seems to keep connection active. Is there some other program to keep connection active? Any help to try will be grateful. Gadget

Try setting you email to check for messages every 5 minutes. Might work.

Sam Spade is a useful 'net utility that has a button to send a packet to your ISP's webserver once a minute.
