Hello. Since this morning I have been having an issue involving my internet connection being lost repeatedly despite reconnecting my modem and rebooting my system multiple times. I have a Comcast Cable internet connection through a 3Com (shark fin) modem: ethernal connection.

When I boot up my PC and open Internet Explorer, everything seems to work fine for a few minutes before my connection **seems** to drop, considering that no pages seem to load. However, when this happens, my instant messenger programs work fine, and so do my downloads. I have also tried using Mozilla as my browser with the same result.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? any help would be appreciated.

Matt C., take a look at my reply in http://computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/123993.html and see if that applies?
