I agree. DSL filters not in or in wrong. Only the DSL modem doesn't need a filter. All other devices need to have a filter and if a choice on output see the one that has the PHONE icon. The other is supposed to be a computer icon. Playing to the angels Les Paul (1915-2009)

There is also a version of dsl that has no dial tone called naked dsl. Confirm with your provider what you have.
