Sorry Justin 77 I have a network with three PCs at home. one PC is designated a server [primarily a firewall] all 3 are XP pro on a LAN network. The server has the continuous broadband cable link input through a ethernet card and the other 2 are linked via rj45 cable plugged into 1 ethernet card and a onboard card [LAN]All 3 can access the Internet.
A 4th XP Pro PC at my Daughters address can access the server and the network via her modem and a modem on the server but cannot gain access to the internet via this connection. I have tried many different setups but none seem to work. I believe it is possible but need the right setup of IP address and DNS address or need to be pointed in the right direction to obtain appropriate documentation. Microsoft has NONE
Brian your bridge solution sounds logical the issue is where to find How to bridge a modem to a lan [ethernet PCI card] or is there an easier way [if bridging is hard] Solutions MOST welcome for this annoying issue. Obviously Win 2000 server is a solution but is big bucks again.
